Sectors
Six sectors, one thesis
Most of the world lives outside the markets where frontier AI is built. Everything on this page follows from that fact, and the six sectors are where the thesis comes to rest. Sovereign AI for the Five Billion is not a slogan about models. It is a claim about who controls compute and whose languages the systems speak. The claim extends to who gets priced into credit and care, and to how goods and power move through the markets the fund serves: the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, Africa and Southeast Asia. Each sector below is the same argument applied to a different point of dependence. A founder building in any one of them is building towards the same end.
The six focus areas
- Sovereign Infrastructurethe compute, data and model capacity a market controls for itself rather than rents from abroad.
- Language AImodels that work in the languages the five billion actually speak, built where those languages live.
- Financial Inclusioncredit, payments and identity for people the formal financial system has never priced.
- Health Accessclinical capability delivered where clinicians are scarce, without lowering the clinical standard.
- Logistics and Tradesoftware for the trade corridors that link these markets to each other, not only to the old centres of trade.
- Energy and Computethe power and the processing that sovereign AI runs on, because neither arrives by default.
Each sector page sets out what the area covers and what the fund looks for in founders building there. The argument does not change between them. The point of application does.
