Sovereignty decides who benefits
Compute and model sovereignty determine who benefits from artificial intelligence. A market that rents its intelligence accepts terms set elsewhere: what the models cost, and when access ends. Where compute sits and who holds the models decide whether value compounds at home. Ownership is the hinge.
The position between
The DIFC places the fund between capital and the markets it serves. UVC AI Frontier Fund I, a closed-ended DIFC venture capital fund managed by Universal Asset Management Limited, follows the thesis across the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, Africa and Southeast Asia, with up to 30 percent in OECD markets where a strategic nexus exists. Capital on one side, the markets on the other. The fund sits in the seam.
